Customize the Margin

You have the option to customize the display of the subtotal at the end of your page by choosing from the 4 options provided below:

'Default' Option​

  1. The Default box is checked by default as shown below:

  1. Click Save, then click Preview PDF at the bottom left in the summary window.
  2. This option displays the subtotal, margin, overhead, and total as shown below:

'No Margin' Option​

  1. Check the No Margin box.
  2. The No Margin option appears at the bottom left to highlight the customization choice, as shown below:

  1. Click Save, then click Preview PDF at the bottom left in the summary window.
  2. This option only displays the total. The margin, overhead, and subtotal are not shown, as shown below:

'Custom Margin' Option​

  1. Check the Custom Margin box.
  2. The Custom Margin option appears at the bottom left to highlight the customization choice, as shown below:

  1. Click Save, then click Preview PDF at the bottom left in the summary window.
  2. This option displays the subtotal, margin, and overhead in two separate lines, followed by the total, as shown below:

'Detail Margin No Margin' Option​

  1. Check the Detail Margin No Margin box.
  2. The Detail Margin No Margin option appears at the bottom left to highlight the customization choice, as shown below:

  1. Click Save, then click Preview PDF at the bottom left in the summary window.
  2. This option displays an un-margined subtotal followed by a margined subtotal, as shown below:

If you have checked the Show Summary Page box, margin customization will only appear on the summary page. To apply margin customization to the detailed estimate page, check the Hide Summary Page box.
